Remove memories and app data
For the current Pets Forever app, now available on Android and iPhone, including TestFlight testers.
Back up anything you want to keep before permanently deleting it. Support cannot recover device-only memories without a backup. Pets Forever has no separate app account to delete.
Remove one memory
- Open the memory’s details and tap Remove.
- Confirm Move to Recently Removed.
You can recover it for up to 30 days through Settings → Recently Removed → Restore Memory. To remove it sooner, choose Delete Permanently there and confirm. Permanent deletion cannot be undone through Recently Removed.
Delete a pet profile
- Select the pet and open its profile editor.
- Remove its memories, including those in Recently Removed. Permanently delete them only if you intend to lose those copies.
- Tap Delete Pet and confirm.
Profile deletion is available only when that pet has no saved or recently removed memories. It cannot be undone. Saved or exported PDF copies need separate attention.
Remove all local app data
After saving anything you want to keep:
- iPhone: use Delete App for Pets Forever. Offload App keeps documents and data, so it is not a data-deletion step. See Apple’s storage guidance.
- Android: open your phone’s Settings, find Pets Forever under Apps, and use Clear storage or Clear data in its storage settings. Names vary by phone. Clear cache is not the same operation. See Google’s storage guidance.
Device backups and operating-system restoration may retain or restore copies. Review those separately if you intend to remove every copy.
Copies outside the app
Exported ZIPs, PDFs, original photos in your photo library, and files you shared are separate copies. Delete unwanted copies from their saved locations and any applicable trash folders. Copies already sent to someone else remain with that recipient.
Removing a book from Saved Books removes its association with the pet; it does not delete the underlying PDF.
Subscriptions and other records
Deleting memories, clearing app data, or uninstalling Pets Forever does not cancel Premium. Manage or cancel it through the Apple or Google account that purchased it, or open Settings → Premium & Purchases → Manage subscription before removing the app.
For deletion requests concerning support correspondence or subscription information controlled by Cherished Brands LLC, follow the privacy policy or email support@petsforeverapp.com with the subject Data deletion request. Do not send passwords or payment-card details. App stores and other independent providers may retain transaction records under their own policies and applicable obligations.
